The buckles and medallions are assembled from quality metal die-castings with durable gold and nickel plating that with a little
care will wear for years. The medallions are hand-cast (cutout-style) 1 & 1/2 inches in diameter. They and their genuine black
leather backgrounds are mounted in a bezel that is held with two screws from the back. The buckles will fit belts up to 1 & 1/2
inches wide and are designed for belts that have the snap on and off feature.

Pictured below mounted on my engravers ball is my original hand engraving of this medallion. It is a reverse engraving; this is
why it faces the opposite direction from the one in the belt buckles offered here. It took over forty hours of working under
magnification to complete, from it an impression was made to produce a model for a mold to cast from. Reverse engraving is the
process of engraving from the backside in. I do both reverse and cap engraving, otherwise referred to as working in the deep or
off/over the top. The original engravings and models pictured here are not for sale they are for show only
